Friendship Care and Housing's mission is to support and encourage independence and improve life for individuals and communities.
Founded in 1956, Friendship Care and Housing (Friendship) is an established housing association and Registered Social Landlord with almost 4,000 homes across the East and West Midlands employing a team of more than 400.
Friendship provide support services to those customers who need it, helping young people, the elderly and individuals with mental health needs and learning disabilities to live fuller lives.
Since it was established over fifty years ago, Friendship has pursued equality and diversity, seeking to eradicate unfair discrimination and working to improve opportunities for the disadvantaged. The team have culturally dedicated services including a custom built residential home for African-Caribbean elders, and community health services specifically for Asian men.
Friendship works hard to help create better neighbourhoods to live in.
Alongside providing homes, Friendship engage in a range of regeneration activities including a dedicated Neighbourhood Warden Scheme in Derby and a Sure Start Programme in Sparkbrook in Birmingham, which provides services and support for families with children under the age of 4.
Friendship's core aim is to continue to develop affordable housing options for local people.
