Branston Limited, the leading supplier of potatoes to Tesco, has brought in Lincoln PR firm Lava to raise its profile.
Lava’s Matt Hammerton reports to Branston Tesco Account Director Jo Parish who has asked the consultancy to develop a proactive communications campaign to support the business.
Lava will be targeting Branston’s trade press and providing regional and local support for the food manufacturer’s sites in Lincolnshire, Somerset and Scotland.
“We are an extremely innovative business and continually look at new product development and ways to improve our operation,” says Jo. “Over the last six months or so we’ve not been as vocal as we could be about our successes and investment, so we’ve asked Lava to devise and implement a campaign that generates interest and raises awareness of us.”
Branston was established in 1969 and has worked with Tesco since 1990. Today, the company supplies over 255,000 tonnes of potatoes to Britain’s leading supermarket as well as a further 110,000 tonnes to other outlets, including processors and food service companies.
“We’re delighted to be working with Branston,” comments Matt. “When we established Lava, we were seeking to work with Lincolnshire’s biggest and best companies. Branston is one of the county’s most successful companies and we’re really looking forward to putting the company back in front of people and maximising the opportunities for future growth by publicising Branston’s innovation, investment and successes.”
