/ A FRIEND IN NEED

Lava's client the Longhurst Group became a friend in need in February, with the housing association needing a little of bit of help to promote one of its member organisations.

A promotion within the marketing department means the organisation is looking for a new member of the team, who will help promote the excellent work undertaken by Friendship Care and Housing. As an interim solution, the Longhurst Group turned to Lava and asked the consultancy to provide an interim PR programme.

Founded in 1956, Friendship Care and Housing is an established housing association and Registered Social Landlord with almost 4,000 homes across the East and West Midlands employing a team of more than 400.

As well as housing solutions, Friendship engages in a range of regeneration activities from dedicated Neighbourhood Warden Schemes through to a Sure Start Programme in Birmingham, which provides services and support for families with children under the age of 4.
