There is just one week left for business people in Lincolnshire to register for a special event designed to help them during the current economic slowdown.
To be staged on Thursday 4 December between 1pm and 5.45pm at the EPIC Centre, Lincolnshire Showground, Survive and Thrive is designed to provide businesses in the region with focused and practical advice and support, and is set to be one of the biggest business support events ever to be held in the county.
Survive and Thrive will be opened by East Midlands Development Agency’s (emda) Executive Director of Business Services, Mike Carr, who will explain how the Agency, together with its partners, is helping the county’s businesses through the economic downturn.
Survive and Thrive will centre on four masterclass presentations which will be delivered by experts including lawyers, accountants and business professionals from some of the East Midlands’ leading firms including Cooper Parry, Freeth Cartwright, Shoosmiths and CBG Ltd.
The masterclasses will focus on practical issues for businesses which will help them to cut costs, negotiate finance, motivate staff avoid redundancies and improve their bottom line.
The speakers will also take questions from the floor, providing businesses with the opportunity to have their specific concerns or issues addressed.
Speaking about the Survive and Thrive events, Dr Bryan Jackson, emda’s Chairman said: “emda is committed to doing whatever it can to help businesses through this tough economic climate. These events offer local business people the opportunity to hear from expert practitioners and to meet with representatives from the region’s business support network, to find out about the complete range of help and support that is available to them during these difficult times.”
In addition to the masterclass presentations, there will be an exhibition of support services featuring Business Link, the Manufacturing Advisory Service, Train to Gain, UKTI and others, where specialist advisers will offer information and help about the complete range of support available to help businesses.
This event is exclusively for business people, who can find out more and reserve a place online at www.surviveandthrive.org.uk, by calling 01332 227774 or emailing enquiries@surviveandthrive.org.uk
