It’s not just car owners who are suffering from the escalating price of fuel – gardeners who use petrol-driven mowers are feeling the pinch. At this time of year lawns need mowing up to twice a week, and that can add a significant cost to this summer-time task.
One way to ease the pain is to ditch the fuelled mower and buy a Robomow® robotic mower, which does the job at a fraction of the cost and provides free time to do other things.
The Robomow® range comprises four models, including the recently launched RM200 and its companion the RM400 which have been designed specifically with the small or urban garden. At the other end of the scale, the top of the range RL1000 HD, is specifically designed for very large lawns.
John Hall of sole UK distributor, Mower-Magic.co.uk, says: “It costs just £9.60 over a 32-week period to maintain a Robomow® on full charge – compared to the current average cost of over £410.00 to run a petrol-driven ride-on mower for eight months of the year1. There are a number of additional financial benefits to be gained by purchasing a Robomow® against a ride-on mower, such as initial cost and annual maintenance2. The environmentally-friendly Robomow® can be programmed to cut the lawn as often as required, where it mulches the clippings back into the grass to provide essential nutrients, while gardeners can sit back and count the saved pounds.”
One person who is already benefitting from a change-over is Kevin Eddison from Nottinghamshire. Kevin used to mow his two lawns using ride-on and push petrol mowers; he previously bought an RL1000 for his large back garden and has since created a pathway across his gravel driveway so the Robomow® can cut his front and back lawns on alternate days.
He commented: “It used to take me two to three hours every time I mowed my lawns, now it takes me no time at all – literally – and I save money too. Buying a Robomow® really is a win-win solution.”
A host of features are contained within each of the models, including rain detectors that detect when it is too wet to continue mowing and also monitor rainfall until dry enough to resume. Ideal for gardeners who don’t like mowing or have enough time and for elderly or infirm people who want to keep their lawn in trim, the Robomow® is both environmentally friendly and economic too.
