A local online garden machinery company is to feature on ITV’s The Alan Titchmarsh Show later tomorrow (Friday 17th October.)

www.Mower-Magic.co.uk, which supplies a range of innovative gardening products to both home and professional gardeners, was asked to feature two of its most advanced items in a feature entitled Gardens of the Future.

The two items selected for the spot were the Robomow range of robotic lawnmowers and the IKRA range of leaf vacuums, both of which Mower Magic hold sole distribution rights to in the UK.

Alan Titchmarsh, who is perhaps most famous for his starring role in Ground Force, began presenting his own chat and lifestyle show in 2007. The Alan Titchmarsh Show, which regularly features a gardening spot, along with celebrity interviews, chat and debate is aired daily on ITV at 3pm.

The ten minute spot, which will appear in the latter half of the show, will see Alan and fellow celebrity gardener Sven Wombwell dodge and weave their way round the Robomow as it demonstrates the specially designed set of algorithms that allow the mower to cut the lawn itself.

The IKRA KLS 2000 lawn vacuum will also play a prominent role in the show, with Alan and Sven demonstrating its sucking power on a collection of autumn leaves. The lawn vacuum, which works in a similar way to a traditional vacuum cleaner, collects and shreds leaves into a mulch that can be the used to make organic fertiliser.

Managing Director John Hall was on set installing the Robomow and demonstrating the lawn vacuum prior to filming.

“We had a great day at the studios,” he says. “I’ve been a fan of The Alan Titchmarsh Show for a while now and it was really interesting to see behind the scenes.

“Alan is a highly respected gardening expert and it was a real honour to have our products feature on his show. What was great about the Gardens of the Future feature is that it showed people they no longer had to wait for these time-saving innovative devices as they’re already available. Robomow is great for people who don’t like mowing their lawns, have little time or those with back or mobility problems, as once installed you can just sit back and let the Robomow do the work for you.
