STORMSAVER ANNOUNCES THEIR LARGEST EVER RAINWATER HARVESTING CONTRACT

Posted in Stormsaver on April 17th, 2009

Stormsaver, the UK’s leading designer and manufacturer of rainwater harvesting systems, has secured their largest individual commercial contract worth £140,000.

Commissioned by the main contractors, BAM Construction, Stormsaver will supply systems for use at the new King’s Cross Central development in London.

The King’s Cross Central development is a 67-acre brownfield project which will transform the Grade II listed Granary Complex into a new campus for Central Saint Martin College of Art and Design, part of University of the Arts London. The new development aims to cut carbon emissions by at least 50% relative to 2005 levels, through energy-efficient building design.

Stormsaver will provide six new COMBI-systems, a pre-tank filter and underground heavy-duty storage tanks in sizes ranging between 10,000 and 90,000 litres, which will be used across the development. The harvested rainwater will be used to flush WCs and Urinals.

The Architect is Stanton Williams.
