Stormsaver, the UK’s leading designer and manufacturer of rainwater harvesting systems, has secured a new contract with one of the most innovative buildings in the East Midlands.

Stormsaver have been commissioned to supply a 15,000 litre below-ground system to the Corby Cube.

The Corby Cube is a 21st century civic hub, which interlinks council administration, commercial facilities and cultural activities, built as part of a major regeneration project driven by Corby Borough Council and North Northants Development Company. It is one of the latest public buildings to meet the BREEAM Excellence standard for sustainability.

Inspired by the concept of an art deco jewellery box with patterns of black and mirrored glass, its 1,406m2 of roof area will capture up to 801m3 of rainwater, which will be used to flush WC’s and urinals.

The contract is worth £20,000. The Architect is Hawkins/Brown.
