The UK’s leading designer and manufacturer of rainwater harvesting systems, Stormsaver, has introduced a guide to British Standard 8515:2009 to help architects, mechanical and electrical engineers and their clients gain an insight into best practice.
Rainwater Harvesting: BS8515:2009 Made Easy is available from http://www.stormsaver.com/downloads.asp and provides a brief overview of the guidelines by answering the questions that specifiers have most commonly asked Stormsaver since the standard was introduced earlier this year.
“As the market leaders in the UK rainwater harvesting industry, lots of people have turned to us for help and advice on the new standard,” says Lisa Farnsworth, Sales Director. “In response to such a high level of interest and some uncertainty amongst architects, specifiers and end users, we thought we would help by developing a succinct overview and introduction to BS8515:2009. It’s not a substitute for taking the time to read the new standard, but Rainwater Harvesting: BS8515:2009 Made Easy has been produced in such a format that it guides people quickly and clearly through the key points. We hope people find it helpful.”
The question and answer style guide to the new standard is available as a PDF from Stormsaver.com. The document has been prepared with Stormsaver’s managing director, Michael Farnsworth, who has been at the cutting edge of rainwater harvesting since 1998.
Since its creation, the Stormsaver has grown to become the UK market leader, regularly working with over half of the country’s leading construction companies. Most recently the company landed its biggest ever contract, the supply of six COMBI-systems, with tanks ranging from 10,000 to 90,000 litre capacities, for use at the new King’s Cross Central development on behalf of the University of the Arts in London.
